Man, you got sir'ed!
So tonight was my weekly indoor soccer game. Things get pretty intense when we play a very physical team and tonight was no exception. Lots of pushing, tripping; elbows flying, people cursing. If no one knows me...I never get riled up. I keep my cool in almost every situation. Tonight, I got angry. I think the reason I got so angry was I was fouled...twice...with 30 seconds left to play. The second foul was at about 8 seconds left and I was pounced by not 1, not 2 but 3 players. I'm not a large guy, so it shouldn't take 3 players to take me down, but whatever.
After the game, one of my guys said something that pissed off one of their guys (I think it was the player of their's that got ejected from the field). I played peacekeeper and basically said 'good game' to everyone. Pretty much the entire team was highschool or maybe first year in college, but I was still kind of thrown off when one of them said, "Yeah. Good game sir."
Am I really a 'sir' already? I know I have a kid and and beard but, I'm kind of short and not very old looking. I'll just mark that one up to life in-experience.
